When you reach out to InteLegal Consultants — whether through the enquiry form on our website, a call, or an email — you share some information with us. This page explains exactly what we collect, why we need it, and what we do with it. 1. What Information We Collect

When you fill our enquiry or lead form, we collect your name, phone number, email address, company name, and the compliance service you are enquiring about. If you call us directly, our team may note down your contact details and requirements to follow up properly.

Once you become a client and we begin your compliance application (EPR registration, LMPC certificate, WPC approval, BIS certification, etc.), we collect additional business documents from you — things like your GST registration, PAN, product details, import/export records, test reports, and so on. We need these specifically to prepare and file your application on the government portal.

Our website also collects standard analytics data (pages visited, time spent, device type) through tools like Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. This helps us understand how people use the site and improve it. We do not collect this data in a way that personally identifies you.

2. Why We Collect It

We use your contact information to respond to your enquiry and assign a compliance expert to your case. We use your business documents to file your applications on the CPCB, BIS, DoT, or Legal Metrology portals. We do not collect anything we do not actually need.

Occasionally, if you have been a client previously, we may reach out to remind you about renewal dates or new compliance rules that affect your business — for example, if EPR annual returns are due or if a rule changes for your product category. You can ask us to stop this at any time.

3. Who Sees Your Information

Your information is handled only by our compliance team. We do not sell your data to anyone. The only third party who sees your business data is the relevant government portal — CPCB, BIS, DoT, or the Legal Metrology department — because submitting it there is literally the service you have hired us for. Beyond that, your data stays with us.

We use Google Workspace for email and may use cloud storage to keep your documents safe. These services have their own privacy and security standards.

4. Cookies

Our website uses cookies — small text files that your browser stores when you visit. We use them for two things: understanding site traffic (via Google Analytics) and showing relevant ads to people who have visited our site (via Google Ads remarketing). Neither of these cookies can be used to identify you personally. You can turn off cookies in your browser settings if you prefer.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your contact details and compliance documents for as long as your matter is active and for a reasonable period afterwards — typically 3 years — in case you need us to retrieve records, handle a follow-up notice, or assist with renewal. After that, we delete or anonymise the data.

6. Security

Our website runs on 256-bit SSL encryption. Documents you share with us are stored in password-protected, access-controlled environments. Our team is trained not to share client data. That said, no system is 100% foolproof, so please do not send sensitive documents over unsecured channels.

7. Your Rights

You can ask us at any time to tell you what data we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete your records if your matter is closed. Email contact@intelegalconsultants.in with the subject line "Data Request" and we will respond within 5 working days.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy in a meaningful way, we will change the date at the top of this page. We do not email users about minor policy changes, but we will notify active clients about anything that significantly affects how their data is handled.
